Florida Destination Named Top Glamping and Camping Spot
While travel season is usually in the summer, the holidays obviously bring a lot of travel to America and places around the world. That said, it’s not surprising that there’s an uptick in resort bookings over the holidays. Well, one Florida destination has been named a top glamping and camping spot in America.
The list comes from Good Housekeeping‘s new 2024 Family Travel Awards. Of the awards, Good Housekeeping states, “Our team of travel agents, editors, engineers, scientists and product analysts thoroughly evaluated each submission, focusing on attributes such as quality, convenience, value, sustainability, inclusivity and more.” They also “enlisted the help of over 100 travel testers to try out the gear and services while visiting cities, resorts, attractions and other destinations to help us choose these standout winners.”
Top Glamping and Camping Spots in America
So, which Florida destination was named the top glamping and camping spot in America? It’s Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo in River Ranch, Florida. Good Housekeeping makes it sound delightful, too. “At Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo, families can stay in an air-conditioned Conestoga wagon that offers the comforts of home (phew, there’s a bathroom with a shower) plus a personal concierge,” they explain. “No sleeping bags for you: This wagon includes a king bed with luxe linens, a bunk bed and pull-out couch, plus musts for picky eaters like a mini fridge and microwave.”
What’s cool is that they only highlights three glamping and camping spots in America, so the fact Florida made the cut is special. The other two that made the list are Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts, which are throughout North America, and The Resort at Paws Up, Greenough, Montana. They call the latter, “A deluxe all-inclusive, The Resort at Paws Up sweeps families off their feet with the most high-end glamping experience that you could imagine — plus over 70 different activities to try.” Find the full list here.
