If you have a sense of adventure and dream of living somewhere new, Ireland will pay Florida residents $90k to move there.
I reported not that long ago about a city in Italy paying people to move there, and now Ireland is following suit. Maybe you’re sitting here in Fort Myers thinking of what life would be like if you lived in another country. I love traveling and find myself always saying “I could totally live here!” in different places I visit. I’ve never been to Ireland, but for some reason I feel like I’d fit in there perfect. I am half Irish after all!
Ireland Will Pay Florida Residents $90k To Move There
Imagine taking a weekend trip to the Cliffs of Moher, Dublin, Giant’s Causeway, the Blarney Castle. That could be a reality of you lived in Ireland. And there’s money up for grabs as an incentive to get you there. The country of Ireland is paying $92,000 to move to one of its 30 remote islands. Now, if you’re looking for big city life, you won’t find it there. In fact, seclusion is one of the downfalls with the the tide and the lack of bridges or causeways. Unless you prefer less people, it’ll be right up your alley. According to Times of India, the relocation package of $92,000 is a grant given to help restore old properties. It’s part of the government’s Our Living Islands policy, which aims to increase the number of people living there. So while you can’t just escape to an island for a life of retirement, you can escape to an island and help refurbish properties in need of some fixing up.
