New York Man Arrested For Truck Surfing On Florida Beach

The highlight of the video, which we’ll get to, is when he says “Can I get in trouble for that?” Yes sir, in Florida you get arrested for breaking the law, as this New Yorker found out. 49 year old Jason Brzuszkiewicz was arrested for failure to pay an access fee after he drove his truck around an access gate and on to New Smyrna Beach. He literally drove around the sign that says “DO NOT ENTER”. That’s when his truck surfing adventure began.

The footage, provided by the Volusia Sheriff’s Office needs to be bought and used by Dodge in an advertising campaign. Watching the way this Dodge Ram plowed through water would make it a beast driving through Cape Coral, Florida during rainy season.

This morning, Jason Brzuszkiewicz drove around a closed gate marked "DO NOT ENTER" and accessed the beach in New Smyrna Beach. The rest was captured on witness video. Brzuszkiewicz was charged with a violation of Volusia County Ordinance 20-174 [8] (failure to pay vehicular access fee) and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail with a $200 bond.

I mean, I’m impressed with his truck surfing, even if he isn’t.

That looks like a stock Dodge Ram, no snorkel or any mods that would help keep it from flooding out. When questioned about his antics, his reply was “It’s not my fault the truck don’t surf.”

Three lifeguards reported to the scene for what was initially thought to be a medical emergency. Nope, just stupid. And this wasn’t after a day of drinking, his truck surfing adventure happened just before 9am (unless he started early).

The fortunate part is that no one got hurt. The beach was closed that morning due to high tides and windy weather, so it was empty. Jason was arrested and his truck was towed.

It’s tourist and snowbird season he in Florida. And apparently the bad driving from the people up north isn’t just limited to the roads. They’re driving on the beaches now, too. I was going to consider making this guy an honorary “Florida Man”, but he didn’t have any drugs on him when he was arrested. A true Florida Man makes sure he packs his meth when he goes out to commit crimes.

    The biggest difference between a YETI cooler and the cheapo ones is insulation. So with a drill and a can of expanding foam, he makes the cooler better. All you need now is a YETI sticker to put on the top and no one will know the difference.

    He didn’t do it in the video, but you can do the lid, too. Same idea. As for the WD40 mention, at the end – he has an endorsement with them, so you’ll see that a lot.

  • Wood fence cleaning

    If you have an older wood fence you know exactly what’s going on here. Florida weather can be brutal, and your fence is going to get ugly. This hack is as simple as a pump sprayer and pool chlorine. I wonder how this would work on a deck?

    He mentions how old the fence is and yeah, that’s gotta be right. Most ‘wood look’ fences are now plastic. Decking, too. That newer stuff I see installed around boat lifts is just amazing.

    I have absolutely no use for this information, but it’s so cool. Was the wrench designed with this in mind? I’ve used an adjustable wrench countless times in my life and I never questioned why there was a hole in the top. WHAT ELSE AREN’T THEY TELLING ME!

    I love this video because of the ‘What No Way!” This is probably the best tip I’ve ever seen. Even though I’ll likely never use it. There’s also a great video on using a dryer sheet to remove lovebugs. Careful if you go to his page, there’s a LOT of videos on there and you can go down the rabbit hole deep into the night. But, you’ll probably learn something. NEXT!
