Florida Restaurant: One Of The Best For French Toast In The U.S.
Sometimes forgotten about, but always adored, a great plate of French Toast can result in loyal customers for life. Mashed recently paid tribute to this, detailing 14 of the best places to order French Toast in the country, and a Florida restaurant made their list.
“From Briques to boats, and everything in between, we’re piling on the toppings and diving into the best French toast in America,” Mashed explained.
French Toast is one of those meals where no matter how many recipes you read and hours you put into the kitchen, it just doesn’t taste as good as it does at your favorite breakfast spot. French Toast just feels like the morning. Moreover, there’s a sentimental value it holds where that first bite can match the feeling of taking in a rising sun.
In the Sunshine State, we are combining a local favorite with classic French Toast. Here is the Florida restaurant that serves the best French Toast around.
Harpoon Harry’s In Key West
If you are taking the trip out to this popular destination, great food is part of the experience. At Harpoon Harry’s you can start your day off right at literally any hour. That’s because breakfast is served all day. Although they have specialty items like a Lobster Po’ Boy breakfast, it’s hard to look past the first item under the “Griddle” section.
Here, for $14.95, you will find Key Lime Pie French Toast. This consists of two thick pieces of French Toast with a generous cut of key lime pie sandwiched in the middle. If you are still craving some more flavor, you can add pecans, bananas, berries, or chocolate chips.
On the other hand, if your preference is just simple and classic French Toast, they serve that as well. Harpoon Harry’s is located at 832 Caroline St in Key West. It is in close proximity to the beach and is a cash-only establishment.
Florida Has 2 Of The Most Beautiful Bridges In The Country
According to Infrastructure Report Card, there are 617,000 bridges in the United States. Outlets such as Attractions of America and Mr. Hudson have each come up with lists of the most beautiful bridges. Two of them call Florida home.
A bridge can be a historical landmark in addition to a pathway that connects communities. Certain bridges, like the Golden Gate in San Francisco, draw thousands of tourists each year. People plan trips around visiting this site and taking in its incredible views. Unsurprisingly, the Golden Gate Bridge is either #1 or #2 on each of the aforementioned lists.
The bridge that it shares the top spot with is famous for its ability to walk or bike over. The Brooklyn Bridge connects Brooklyn Heights to Manhattan via six lanes. Many charity-driven bike rides also cross here as it offers unique perspectives into New York City without any tollways.
Florida Bridges
In Florida, American Road and Transportation lists over 12,000 bridges in the Sunshine State (though not all of them are in functional condition). There are two however, that stand above the rest. One is architecturally astounding. The other feels like a gateway into a mysterious paradise.
“American bridges are often designed with looks to match their engineering ingenuity,” Mr. Hudson explains.
What’s fascinating about bridges in America, is they are constructed of different materials and serve different purposes. For example, the final and tenth selection in Attractions of America’s feature is the Benson Bridge, Multnomah Falls, in Oregon. This is a foot traffic bridge that is only 45 feet long. It allows visitors to walk 105 feet above the Lower Multnomah Falls cascade
Let’s take a look at the two most beautiful bridges in Florida.
