Rejoice! The Publix Chicken Tender Sub Is On Sale
Those of us in Florida are pretty hooked on our Publix subs. But one sub stands out above the rest in terms of awesomeness. The Publix Chicken Tender Sub. That’s why I always make such a big about it when it goes on sale.
As reported by the “Are Publix Chicken Tender Subs On Sale?” X (Twitter) account, it’s not just the original on sale, but the Deli Hot Honey Chicken Tender Sub is on sale, too.
Sale price also applies to regular chicken tender sub!

The sale goes from now until March 30th with $2 off either the regular, or the Deli Hot Honey. If you check the Publix ad, it only mentions the Deli Hot Honey, but when you get to the deli they’ll give you the sale price on the original, too. The kicker, for us long time Florida residents, is that the sale price is $8.49. It wasn’t too long ago that $8.49 was the regular price. Inflation got us.
Now, how you take your Publix Chicken Tender Sub is entirely up to you. But here’s my suggestion.
I’m not too picky on the bread, eager to try new things. I ask “which is freshest,” and then go with that. But here’s the important part. I order mine Buffalo Style-shaken. If you don’t do these, it’s basically chicken nuggets on bread. With my order, they cut the chicken tenders into pieces, put them in a baggie, squirt hot sauce on them, then shake the baggie to distribute the sauce across the tenders.
I’m not sure exactly the move on the hot honey Chicken tender sub, I’ve never tried that one. I like the classic. Toppings are entirely up to you but I start with some lettuce and tomatoes, and then go from there.
Pub Sub Boating Hack.
Here’s a fun thing to do if you’re going boating. Don’t get the pre made deli platter. It’s overpriced and you have to order in advance. Go to the deli counter and order however many subs you need. Ask them to cut them in quarters and wrap them individually. Now you have 4 small subs. Ask for a baggie of lettuce, tomatoes, or whatever else you want. I think last time I even got some little cups of Italian dressing. Now you got toppings on the side. One you’ve got your bag of subs and toppings, don’t forget to pick up the condiments. You now have a custom deli platter, that you didn’t have to order in advance.
