Barefoot Florida Man Leaves Hockey Game To Wrestle 8 Foot Alligator In The Street
It’s just another day in Florida when you see a barefoot Florida man wrestling an 8 foot alligator in the streets of Jacksonville. Mike Dragich, an MMA fighter who goes by @bluecollar_brawler on Instagram in also a licensed alligator trapper. When the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office contacted the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) about the alligator, Mike was at a hockey game nearby. Mike left the game, caught the alligator, then went back to the game. But why isn’t he wearing shoes?
He Left a Hockey Game to Wrestle This 8 Foot Alligator.
The alligator is clearly startled and is getting aggressive around a lot of people. It’s amazing how many of them are just standing around holding up their phones to record it. Ya’ll in Jacksonville should be running. That guy with the GI Joe shirt shoulda jumped in to help.
This Alligator Capture Leaves Me With Questions.
Although this really plays out like just another day in Florida, this video brings up some questions. First up, why is he barefoot? Did he take off his shoes to wrestle the alligator? If so – why? At least put on some Crocs. Right?
The next question I have came from the story. Mike left a hockey game, drove 5 minutes down the road, captured this 8 foot alligator, then returned to the game. Don’t all arenas have a no re-entry policy. Maybe he showed them this video and got that waved.
Speaking of hockey, even though it doesn’t say it in the story there’s a good chance the hockey game he was attending was the Jacksonville Ice Men taking on the Florida Everblades. The Everblades took that game in overtime to tie the playoff series at 1-1. The next game is Wednesday in Estero, Florida. The Everblades have won back to back championships and are looking for a three-peat. Hopefully we don’t see an 8 foot alligator in parking lot at Hertz Arena.
