When you plan your vacation, you’re always hoping for the best, you certainly don’t want to choose the most disappointing US tourist attraction. But according to many online reviews, there is one spot in Florida that could leave you regretting your choice.
The study, conducted by Jeffbet, looked at 45 popular U.S tourist attractions to see which had the highest percentage of only 1–3-star Tripadvisor and Google reviews with terms relating to disappointment, such as ‘bad experience’, ‘did not enjoy’, and ‘disappointed’.
Kennedy Space Center, based in Florida, ranks as the most disappointing US tourist attraction, with 20.19% (473 out of 2,343) of all 1–3-star reviews stating that they were disappointed in some way. One user on Tripadvisor stated that the center was a ‘huge disappointment’, while another said that it was the ‘biggest waste of money’.

One reviewer summed it up by saying “You can get the entire experience on YouTube,” while multiple other reviews stated that the long lines were their primary source of disappointment. And those lines begin with the long lines of traffic even before you get there. Actually, almost all of the negative reviews had nothing negative to say about the Visitor Complex itself, but rather were centered around overcrowding.
In all fairness, some of these people may just be venting because of a cancelled launch. It’d be like driving all to the way to a theme park, only to find it closed (the moose out front should’ve told you).
The Second Most Disappointing US Tourist Attraction
Following in second is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with 19.61% (269 out of 1,372 reviews) rating the attraction as disappointing. Located in Cleveland, Ohio, the museum documents the history of rock music and sone of the genre’s most influential artists. One user on Tripadvisor said that they ‘left very disappointed’, while another warned to ‘save your money’.

Top Attractions in Florida
Florida still maintains itself as a major tourist destination with 3 of the top attractions in the US being here in the Sunshine State. As a 20 year resident of Florida, I love doing touristy things, but I’m kind of disappointed in myself. I’ve not been to any of these 3 attractions. Yet.
