Florida Airport Makes List Of Top Ten Best For Food in the U.S.

Are you one of those people who always arrives at the airport super early? Do you find yourself twiddling your thumbs and counting down the minutes until your flight takes off? Sometimes staring at the clock makes time go by SO slowly, but if you fly out of the Tampa airport, you do have some exceptional food options to help pass the time.

I don’t know what it is about airport beers and bloodies, but they just hit different. It might just be knowing that a vacation is about to start, but maybe, just maybe they have a super-secret ingredient that takes it up a notch.

Maybe spending time at the bar isn’t your thing, but rather taking in a nice meal. Let’s face it, not every airport has great food options. There’s usually always something, but some are definitely better than others. If flying out of RSW isn’t your best option, the good news is that Tampa isn’t too far away.

Food & Wine put together their list of the best U.S. airports for food based on reader votes and Tampa International Airport came in at #6 on their list. The magazine said about the airport “From sports bars and tables with aquarium views to menus with authentic Neapolitan pizzas, Tampa International Airport has an unexpected range.” Food & Wine also mentioned the Columbia Café and wood-fired pizzas at Bavaro’s as being some of the best food options in the airport and Cigar City Brewing for the best local beers.
