Tax holidays.

Florida  sales tax holidays? Here’s the list. Everybody loves saving a little money, right?
If you reside in Florida, get ready to mark your calendar. Especially for October.

Governor Ron DeSantis revealed there will be nine sales tax holidays/exemption periods that will occur over the next several months.

When you check out the list, you may notice one of the newest holidays is all about “Tool Time.” Makes me think of Tim Allen’s hit TV series. During this holiday, you can receive tax breaks on common retail tools. This is for people who use tools for work.

If you have little children, you’ll love this one: From July 1 through June 30, 2023, no tax is required on children’s diapers, baby and toddler clothing, apparel and shoes (for children 5 and younger). Stock up!

And how bad would we all love a break from paying taxes on motor fuel? This exemption holiday is for the month of October, prior to the mid-terms and it’s kind of a big deal. Florida’s gas tax is 43.5 cents per gallon! I’d like to think they made it October to celebrate my birth month.  And Halloween. This will make that drive to Orlando a LOT cheaper.
