Megan Thee Stallion is back. The Grammy-winning rapper broke her social media hiatus for a red carpet appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar party following the 95th Annual Academy Awards Sunday (March 12). Not only did fans get to witness her glorious return to the spotlight, but the Traumazine creator also spilled that she has a new project in the works. While speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she was asked if there is a new album in progress.

“Oh I am, new album, f— y’all h—, bye!” she said before running off with a laugh.

Megan didn’t offer anything else but confirm that new music is to be expected from the Houston native. This album would be her third studio album following up to her 2022 project Traumazine. Her latest LP was supported by singles such as “Plan B,” “Her,” “Sweetest Pie” with Dua Lipa, “Pressurelicious” featuring Future, and “Ungrateful” with Key Glock. Traumazine debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200.

Megan also shared that she secured tickets for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. “They gon’ be hatin’ on me, but I got ’em!” she said. “Oh baby, you know I called up them directly: ‘Beyoncé, lemme get a ticket!'”

“You know Beyoncé is my auntie!” she gushed.

Since December, Megan has kept a low profile and has not been active on social media. Many fans speculate it being due to the Tory Lanez trial where he was found guilty of three felonies in the 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Those counts included felony assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a concealed, unregistered firearm, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces up to 22 years and eight months in prison and possible deportation to Canada.
