If you’re trying to put together a soundtrack for dinner tomorrow, here are some songs for the perfect Thanksgiving playlist.

When you think of songs for the holidays, I’m sure not too many Thanksgiving songs cross your mind. The ONLY ones I can even think of are Adam Sandler’s “Thanksgiving Song” and Arlo Guthrie’s “Alice’s Restaurant”.

Have you ever wondered why there’s a million Christmas songs out there, but just a few for Thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving, other than if you include Black Friday shopping, isn’t a holiday that creates a lot of revenue. Yes, more groceries are bought, but the holiday is more about spending time together, eating a delicious meal and gratefulness.

Christmas, on the other hand, is ALL about the money. Between decorations and gift giving, the amount of money we spend during the Christmas season is higher than possibly any other time of year.

Well, did you know that the background music that plays in stores influences the buying behavior of shoppers? There was a study done that showed that the atmosphere of a store, everything from the scents, the displays and the music can cause shoppers to either stay longer and purchase more or leave faster and purchase less. So having Christmas music playing can boost your mood which can in turn, cause you to buy more things!

Which makes sense then, since there’s not really a demand for Thanksgiving music to play since there’s not much to buy. But if you want to be festive, while there’s not a lot of obvious choices, here’s some that’ll make you hungry.

Songs for the Perfect Thanksgiving Playlist:
