Here are your Weekend Vibes, what’s happening in Southwest Florida March 17-19. It’s St. Patrick’s Day and weekend which means lots of green and lots of parties. If you are throwing one and need some DIY décor ideas, here are a few that might work. In the meantime, we have a few of the dozens of St Paddy’s Day events taking place across Southwest Florida listed below.

Spring Training games offer lots of opportunities to get up close and personal with the players. Plus, they are just a lot of fun.

Also this weekend in Southwest Florida

Baseball Spring Training games continue. There are three teams in Lee and Charlotte Counties. In Fort Myers you can see the Boston Red Sox and the Minnesota Twins. In Port Charlotte it is the Tampa Bay Rays. Buy your tickets now through the links that are included above. The games run through the end of the month. March 30th is the opening day of the regular, major league baseball season.

Finally, there is still a lot of hurricane recovery under way. Many businesses in Southwest Florida are still closed and many people still without a place to live. However, more places are opening and more residents are finding relief. If you feel like getting out and about, we have a few ideas here. But then again, if you are not feeling so great mentally, that’s OK too. We want to offer some resources that might help. Click here to find a few.

  • St. Patrick's Day Block Party

    The streets in downtown Fort Myers close Friday afternoon for this huge, annual party. Bands perform all day long. Part of the live music performances include a strolling bagpiper. You can also see Celtic dancers. The block party is free and runs from 2-8pm.

  • Brave The Shave

    Brave the Shave is a benefit to help kids and their families that are fighting brain cancer. Shave you head in solidarity with these courageous kids Friday at The Bell Tower Shops in Fort Myers. The event is from 2-6pm. There is music and all kinds of activities for the kids.

  • Spring Night Market

    Enjoy music and food trucks, and meet local entrepreneurs at this event Friday night at the Collaboratory in downtown Fort Myers. The event is from 6-9pm.

  • St. Patrick's Day Trolley Event

    It’s another trolley party in South Cape Coral and it’s Friday from 7-11pm. Enjoy special cocktails at 12 different locations. Get your passport stamped at all locations and you’re entered to win prizes. Tickets are $20 in advance.

  • Cirque Ma'Ceo

    This is a unique equine show in Bonita Springs. Exotic horses, acrobats, aerial feats and more under the big tent. There are numerous shows Friday through Saturday in the sight near the old dog track in Bonita on Bonita Beach Road.

  • AKC Dog Show Extravaganza

    More than 100 dog breeds are competing in everything from agility courses and dock diving and general cuteness. Featuring all things canine, this event is Friday through Sunday at Lee Civic Center in North Fort Myers. Tickets begin at $10 a vehicle.

  • Collier County Fair

    It’s a great weekend to go to the fair and this one is off of Immokalee Road. It has it all, rides, animals, exhibits and fair food. It runs through March 26th.
