Here are your Weekend Vibes, what’s happening in Southwest Florida May 19-21. Love Bug season has officially begun. While you might spend time this weekend cleaning those stubborn bugs off of your car, there is plenty to do locally, once you are done. It’s going to be a hot one. If you are looking to cool off, more beaches are open in the area following Hurricane Ian. However, remember that not all of them have all of their usual amenities up and running. Pack accordingly.

This weekend in Southwest Florida

One of the biggest events is the Fort Myers Film Festival. If you love movies of all genres, this festival is for you. It opened earlier in the week but the weekend is full of screenings. Most of the films are being shown downtown at the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center. In addition, it’s Music Walk on Friday. So downtown is shaping up to be busy.

Also, there are events featuring two of Floridians favorite sports past times, fishing and golf. Scroll down to get more on those as well as a new beer fest. If you have any upcoming events that you want to share, please email me here.

One more thing, we hare coming up on the 8-mark since Ian hit our coast. Thankfully, many things are slowly getting better. However, there is still so much need in our area. Life is still challenging for many many people. If you feel like getting out and about, we have a few ideas here. But then again, if you are not feeling so great mentally that is OK too. Please take care of yourself. Here are some resources that might help.
