Miami Beach Has Released a Commercial Aimed at Deterring Spring Breakers

Miami Beach has a simple message to spring breakers – we don’t want you. They made that point very clear in a commercial the official city account posted to Youtube. “You just want to get drunk in public and ignore laws… this isn’t safe, so, we’re done”
The commercial references the madness that went down in the Miami area last March during Spring Break. South Beach shootings left two people dead. Additionally, 573 arrests were made in Miami Beach.

Parking fees will shoot up into the neighborhood of $100. Restricted beach access, bag checks, and curfews will be put in place starting this weekend.
So Miami Beach has made it very clear that they no longer want Spring Break in their town. Will it work? We’ll find out soon. One thing to note, the man arrested for murder for one of last year’s shootings was from Fort Lauderdale, not an out of state partier.
If you recall, Fort Myers Beach was becoming more and more crazy until Hurricane Ian came through just as things were recovering from Covid. It’s definitely coming back, though. Lani Kai, the hub of Fort Myers Beach Spring Break shows that they are sold out for the entirety of Spring Break. So the people are coming. Their upscale neighbor, Diamondhead, shows rooms available.

Spring break always arrives at just the right time. It’s when the holiday cheer has totally worn off, and it’s also right when spring is around the corner but it’s not quite here yet. So, if you go to a popular spring break spot, chances are they’ll have some good deals and be able to cut you a good deal due to just how many people who travel there each year.
The perfect spring break destination is really about getting away from it all. You want a place that fun and exciting. But, you also want a spot that really helps you break away from routine and, hopefully, your electronic devises. Another bonus is if you find a spring break destination near friends who you maybe haven’t seen in a while. It can be a really fun trip to find a central location and meet up with long-lost friends.
